What is this?
You know that friend who always knows where to eat? The one you text before every trip?
Favindex is what happens when that friend finally writes it down.
The pitch
Make a city guide. Drop pins on a map. Add a note like "order the anchovies, trust me" or "cash only, no they don't have WiFi, yes it's worth it." Share the link. That's the whole product.
No algorithm. No "trending near you." No photos of food taken by people who've never cooked. Just a list of places from someone whose taste you actually trust.
Why though
Every city has two versions: the one on TripAdvisor and the one your local friends know about. The second version lives in group chats, screenshots of Instagram stories, and a note on someone's phone titled "Barcelona????" with three entries and no context.
We thought maybe those notes deserved a URL.
The fine print
No ads. No sponsored placements. No account needed to browse. We don't sell your data because we barely collect any. The whole thing is built by a small team that mostly argues about map marker sizes.
